Dr. Preeti Gupta, MD

Board-Certified Neurologist, Rhode Island Hospital Fellowship Trained

Dr. Preeti Gupta is a board-certified Neurologist who specializes in Epilepsy. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2006, and completed her internship at the University of Michigan Hospitals and a residency in Neurology at the University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Gupta then completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Preeti Gupta is deeply passionate about both medical and patient education, believing that informed patients are empowered patients. This dedication to education ensures that patients fully understand their conditions and treatment options, leading to better health outcomes and greater satisfaction. This commitment to education fosters a collaborative and supportive environment, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided.

Dr. Gupta is an Assistant Professor in Medical Sciences at The Warren Alpert Medical School, Office of Medical Education. She is a recipient of the Dean's Excellence in Teaching Award. Currently, she is the Year 2 Course Leader for Doctoring and Course Director for the Clinical Skills Clerkship. She is actively teaching students in their second year of medical school. Previously, Dr.Gupta, co-directed the Clinical Neurosciences Clerkship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.  

Her clinical interests include women’s health in epilepsy, focal epilepsy, and primary generalized epilepsy.
